COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), continues to spread around the world and throughout Papua New Guinea. At the time of updating this course (November 2021), PNG seems to have a declining transmission trend after reaching its highest peak in October 2021. However, this trend can reverse suddenly, so it is still very important for everyone to take necessary precautions in order to protect our families and communities and to help those affected to recover as quickly as possible.
This training course will provide you with information about what the virus is, how it spreads, and what you can do to stop it from spreading further.
This course was developed by the Pacific Development & Training Institute (PDTI) of Port Moresby. We are providing this free course to do our part to support Papua New Guinea, our home. We hope you benefit from this course, and we'd love to hear your feedback at the end. We're all in this together!
It will take 20 minutes to complete this course. While we are offering this course for free, we do ask that if you are able, to please consider a donation to St John Ambulance. You can access their website here: St John Ambulance - PNG.
